Travel Experience — Tampa, Florida July 2019
by Brent Stackhouse, MBA
Calmness was part of the experience during my North Carolina to Florida flight in July. I was working on wellbeing and other items for The Stackhouse Agency, LLC. The people on board were friendly. We arrived. I worked on tasks and enjoyed some time at the airport before the efficient trip to the hotel via shuttle.
I viewed the layout of the hotel and worked on tasks. I was working on areas of community and annual business items. There were warm temperatures in the area and instances of rain at times. I had a few locations to visit and found walking in the particular areas was helpful for certain perspectives of community wellbeing. I had discussions with various people. In one area, I was near a 65,000 - 75,000-seat stadium managed by the Tampa Sports Authority. In another area there were residences. In one location there were various businesses along a busy corridor.
I added some locations to my tasks that day. I worked on topics. I was sweating. I got a sandwich and a drink before heading back to the hotel. One item that helped me with perspective that day was a Stackhouse Agency stress ball. I used the stress ball as I viewed various community areas; I used wellbeing techniques while working on wellbeing topics.
At the hotel, I organized my thoughts. I cleaned up. I used the pool. I used the fitness room.
In the morning I had a good breakfast including fruit, yogurt, grits, muffins, meat, and eggs. I went to the airport early via shuttle. I used one of the working stations and had time to speak with a few people. I enjoyed the flight to North Carolina; I had a valuable experience.
During the week I was considering my trip and I was also enjoying being in High Point.
