Management Theories Exercise
Helpful Observation - Management theories often include the main topics of production, resources, leadership, a level of organization or methods, and benefits. Exercise: If there were a consideration of topics, a #management theorist could assert certain views and the reader could look for how each main topic applies in the theory.
This exercise in stating main topics may be useful for management theories from 1880-2010s, [present]. The leadership-1 topic areas could be levels of management, work groups with some authority and a leader, or individual decision-making in the organization—with some leadership roles. Resources-2 as topic areas could include #workers, the environment (of the organization), or technology.
Benefits-3 in the exercise may be particularized for a management theory. Such benefits are not necessarily benefits for the present-day reader. For example, a benefit in the exercise could be efficiency (for higher output, sales, #profit…) or “survival” in some form—based on the various management theories.
